… Forks, Washington, a peaceful small town just west of Seattle. Its damp, wet, green and gray. Also it's filled with all sorts of creatures. Home to the Cullen clan, a group of vampires, and the werewolves (or shapeshifters) of La Push. After the infamous visit from the Volturi, you would think this small town would return back to its peaceful small town life…
... But this unexpected town is about to get a wake up callas a gathering starts to form. Its been a hundred years since the last gathering of shapeshifters; foxes, bears, Coyotes and wolves. All share a common thread... a dislike for Vampires. Will Jacob and his pack be enough to hold them back from the Cullens. What will happen when the Volturi come for a little visit...
... An epic battle is about to begin. Humans, Vampires and wolves are fighting... but who will survive in the end? Which side will be victorious?

It was practically twilight. Safe enough to be outside without having to worry about the sun taking any innocent lives this day. Or rather...any day. It was one of those peaceful, mindful evening nights. The street lights started to flick on as Edward walked down the sidewalks.
The sole of his shoes hit quietly upon the pavement as he slid his pale hands into his pockets. So peaceful. To peaceful. To peaceful that it would make one restless.

River had dodged chores after dinner, using her patented 'I've-got-homework' excuse to go up to her room. After she closed her door, she merely had to quietly open the window, grab her spare clothes and shoes, stuff them in her bag, and climb down. Her mother never missed her, and Jamie was always too tired after dinner to check on her.
Putting on a black, zipper sweatshirt, she climbed out the window, slowly, carefully, making her way to the ground. When she could see the ground in the fading light, she jumped, landing lightly on her feet. She pulled her long auburn hair back in a ponytail, and made her way towards Forks via the woods.
She knew these trees like the back of her paw. When she couldn't see the light of her house, she smirked, shed her clothes, shivering when the cool autumn night air hit her skin, and shifted into her fox form. Her nose elongated, her teeth sharpened, and her light skin erupted into a thick, auburn and white coat. Her hands shrunk, becoming tiny canine paws, as did her feet. Finally, a bushy tail sprouted on her waist. She was, to anyone who happened to see her, a common red fox. However, if the passerby were to look closely, they would notice the little animal's bright blue eyes.
Picking up her pack with her teeth, she sprinted through the trees, pausing at the roadside to hide her pack behind a tree, before padding onto the sidewalk. River loved this form; her senses were heightened, and it made everything seem to come alive. She padded down the walkway, looking up and around her, feeling her freedom with a certain smugness.

Edward whistled a happy tune, enjoying the breeze of the cool night air and definitely enjoying the thoughts that prowled his mind. His wife Bella, and his daughter. Edward couldnt ask for a better family, and every time he thought of them he felt intoxicted by the bond of love that stringed them together.
His ears pricked up gently as he stared ahead with golden orbs on the sidewalk. Stopping every now and then to admire nature, and think of a scientific reason for everything that had roots, to the creatures that had wings.
His adoptive father would know about things like these. It only made sense. Carlisle was so wise and just full of compassion for the world. It sometimes stunned Edward.

River froze midstep, one paw raised, as she saw who came toward her on the asphalt. Or, rather, what came toward her. She'd have to be pure human not to recognize a vampire when she saw one. Knowing she wasn't strong enough to fight one off, she made a break for the nearest cover: a mailbox. She crouched down, hiding behind it.
((One of those big blue ones, not you know like a residential one. ))

Edwards whistling faded as his ears pricked up gently, almost like a dog. He stopped walking pretending to be looking at something of interest, when really his senses were flying high and around everywhere. There was something, but he couldnt exactly pinpoint it, and it was starting to confuse him slightly.

River peaked out from under the mailbox, trying to see what the vampire in front of her was doing. His whistling had stopped, as had his feet, she noticed. He must have sensed her. She cursed herself for being so incompetent. She hadn't even bothered to cover her scent.
She remained motionless, her head on her paws under the mailbox as she watched him, wondering how long it would take him to find her...and, more importantly, what he would do once he had. Gulping, she tensed her hind legs to sprint away at the first convenient moment.
